Community Development
Boones Mill 2040, The Town's Comprehensive Plan sets forth a vision for Boones Mill's sustainable growth while maintaining its existing small-town character.
Town staff worked with the Western Piedmont Planning District Commission (WPPDC) to prepare the plan, and Town Council adopted it on February 14, 2023. Please take a look and consider how you can contribute! Plan implementation is a team effort, involving citizen volunteering, business investment, and partnership with community groups and neighboring governments.
The Town of Boones Mill facilitates economic development by encouraging the growth of small businesses, recruitment of commercial ventures, and working closely with Franklin County.
The Franklin County Office of Planning and Community Development is responsible for issuing building permits, building code enforcement, and erosion and storm water regulations. Their planners and inspectors work well with Town staff.
